Autumn in Patagonia -紅葉に燃えるパタゴニア-
秋のパタゴニアは森が真っ赤に染まります。赤く染まるのは「南極ブナ」という樹木で、パタゴニアの原生林の大半を占めるほどに繁栄しています。雪が頻繁に降り始めると、森もどんどん赤く染まっていきます。
In Patagonia in autumn, the forests turn bright red. The trees are the “Antarctic beech” make up the majority of the native forests in Patagonia. As snow begins to fall more frequently, the forests turn redder and redder.

En otoño, los bosques de la Patagonia se tiñen de rojo intenso. Los árboles son “Nothofagus”, que constituyen la mayor parte de los bosques autóctonos de la Patagonia. A medida que la nieve empieza a caer con más frecuencia, los bosques se vuelven cada vez más rojos.

Pygmy Owl, Patagonia -世界最小のアカスズメフクロウ-
小さなフクロウですが、夜行性ではなく昼間に活動することから目にすることができました。紅葉に彩られるパタゴニアで、フクロウの姿は良いアクセントです。

Although a small owl, it was visible because it is not nocturnal but active during the day. The owl is a nice accent in Patagonia, where the leaves are changing colors.

Gaucho Festival in Patagonia -アルゼンチンの騎馬祭にて-
アルゼンチンの大草原パンパで牛や羊を追うガウチョ達にとって、騎馬祭「ヒネテアーダ」は乗馬を披露するハレの舞台です。子供たちも馬とともに育ちます。子供ガウチョが自分より何倍も大きな馬で駆け抜けると、会場はひと際大きな歓声に包まれました。
